Seed to Cup Traceability

Regenerating the soil one cup of coffee at a time.

At Buena Vida, a phrase you’ll hear us say often is “seed to cup” — and we mean it. From the soil where the coffee is grown to the cup in your hands, every stage of its journey reflects our commitment to regeneration and transparency.

From cultivation to consumption, we take responsibility for every stage of the coffee’s journey. From the soil where the coffee is grown to the cup in your hand, we ensure that our impact is restorative, not extractive, and that regeneration guides our entire business.

Solar-Powered Roasting with Probat

We roast our coffee using solar-powered Probat roasters, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of one of the most energy-intensive stages of the coffee value chain. This allows us to maintain precision and flavor while demonstrating that climate-conscious technology and high-quality coffee can coexist.

Innovation & Tradition

Cascara Tea

“Nothing is wasted in nature’s cycle. We reclaim the coffee fruit skin, often discarded, to create Cascara—a vibrant, antioxidant-rich tea with notes of hibiscus and tamarind.”

Return to Earth: Compostable Packaging

Our responsibility doesn’t end at consumption. Every bag of Buena Vida coffee is packaged in fully home-compostable materials. From the valve to the zipper, it returns to the soil within 90 days, closing the loop.

Ancient Clay, Modern Ritual

In partnership with Gaeastar, we present 3D-printed clay cups. Inspired by ancient drinking vessels, they are reusable, plastic-free, and return to dust when broken, leaving no trace behind.
