La Chumeca's Story
El Microbeneficio la Chumeca is located in San Pablo de León Cortés, with its farms situated at altitudes ranging from 1400 to 2000 meters above sea level. Martín Ureña Quirós, the creator of the farm and Microbeneficio la Chumeca, is a fourth-generation coffee grower who inherited a passion for coffee from his family. Established in 2014, La Chumeca aims to improve coffee quality and traceability, focusing on natural drying methods using African beds and controlled fermentation processes to enhance flavor as well as agricultural practices that benefit the environment. The family of five is dedicated to refining their coffee production, from their farming practices to roasting and barista skills, ensuring a high-quality coffee experience for consumers.
